At Bedrock Occupational Therapy, we provide a capacity building approach to therapy, to ensure children and families feel confident to participate in a range of everyday activities.

Our team of Occupational Therapists work collaboratively to ensure the implementation of evidence based practice and to deliver therapy within a family centred approach.

Our Team
Hussein graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Hussein is a certified Occupational Therapist (OT) and senior OT at Bedrock Occupational Therapy.
Hussein has worked in a variety of settings including NGOs, such as Autism Australia and the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC), as well as within the hospital setting at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, as part of the Orthopaedics team.
Hussein has a passion for working with children and teenagers with diverse medical backgrounds. He has extensive experience with autism, developmental delays, low hearing and vision, stroke, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), complex postural needs, and musculo-skeletal/neurological conditions, including Cortical Visual impairment (CVI) and Cerebral Palsy (CP).
Services
Bedrock Occupational therapy provides assessment and intervention for children and families who have difficulty in the following areas:
- Self care skills
- Fine and Gross motor skills
- Play skills
- Assistive Technology (AT) trials and prescription, including AT for low vision and hearing, and complex postural needs.
- Transition to kindergarten and high school
- NDIS Functional Assessments
- Education around manual handling, including floor and ceiling hoist transfers, and hoist and standing slings.
- Community access, including safe travel within a car seat or vehicle for children with complex medical needs and history.
